This is the third Lee Baby Simms full length. Whereas previous albums featured electronic production and beats with electric guitars using multiple effects, this is an all acoustic album. As with previous Lee Baby Simms releases, the sound remains cinematic and mysterious, but the challenge was to make something completely acoustic in the realm of such artists as Richard Thompson, Ry Cooder, Bert Jansch, John Fahey, David Lindley and others who have pushed the boundaries of the instrument, thus the title, Wooden.
